Are you still running the 4:10's in the car? What rpm were you going through the traps at?

No, I switched to a 3.55. It's going through the traps right at 6200 on the rev limiter. When I switch back to my 28" tall drag radials it should be perfect.

Might as well try a 68 then. Got a .96 with a 302. Fun for sure. But 68 will probably be stupid.

but with what intake, heads, and camshaft? all of this can affect the intake to exhaust boost ratio.

    Mad Beems,

I see that you are using the baseline suspension upper kit. I just installed one on my car and what a big difference that the upper angle is now. I wished that you had a comparison to see how well or much of a difference that the BL upper kit made for your car. From what Kevin has told me, get the instant center on par and pinion angle and some tires and you should be in the high 1.30's at least and that thing will be in the 9's ;). Did you buy his lowers as well and do you run an anti-roll bar?

    Hey Brent,

I did get some before and after results when I still had the nitrous on my car. I'm running his uppers with Pro3i weight jacker lowers. I'm not running an anti roll bar yet. On the bottle, my 60 fts were typically in the mid 1.7 range on drag radials before using stock uppers and megabyte jr lowers. After switching to the baseline and pro3i's my 60s dropped to mid-low 1.6s by simply bolting them on and not even dialing in the adjustment all the way correctly. Basically, I just set my ride height where I wanted it and set the pinion angle at -2*. They work great, I'm sure you'll be happy with them.

    Here's the whole combo

    stock shortblock
    edelbrock performer heads
    ported cobra intake
    65 mm throttle body
ed curtis cam (not ground for a turbo setup)
42 lb injectors with an 80 mm pro-m
    Master Power T-70 w/ .68 a/r
    Turbo XS 46mm Wastegate
    Greddy Type-S ebay knockoff bov
    ebay 24x12x4 one-sided intercooler
ebay bbk knockoff 1 5/8 flipped shorties

What DRs were you using? I'm interested because I have a set of 275/50-15 MT DRs and haven't been able to do jack with them. I've actually been able to cut a better 60' (1.81) with my Nittos mounted on my stock pony wheels. I think a lot of it has to do with the crap track prep at Orlando, but either way, I'd really like to get my car to hook anywhere, not just on a really well prepped track.

Beems is truly my hero! I hope that my turbo will come close to 10's someday soon. Keep up the good work, by the way, I think I'm going to name my next child after you! :-X

I think a lot needs to be said about what kind of transmission Beems is using too... He said it is an old TKO... well, he's partially right, but he shifts it with a Beems-o-matic... lol

That is pretty much what mine is like. Anytime I hit the throttle at 3000+ RPMs I get full boost pretty much by the time the pedel hits the floor.

Pretty fun eh? :drive: :drive: :drive:

Awesome #s and videos. I've got a little bigger hotside on my 67mm(Q-trim .81A/R) but my motor is 50 cubes bigger, so I'm hoping for the same kind of response time.
