I'm sure two would work fine, but 8 would look bad ass. I really think it's personal preference

Wow This car is looking real nice.

My father has been wanting to work on his 1969 Buick GS 400 Stage 1 for quite some time.

It has the 400 with the 4 speed Muncie with Hurst shifter, 3.64 gears.

He used to race it back in the day and for its time it had a bunch of on demand torque. I dont recall the exact times he was running but the car was fast at the time.

Last time I finally got him to bite on the idea of putting a pair of turbo's on the car since the 10:1 compression and some E85 would be perfect for the a pair of turbos on that engine.

After I show him this thread he might get inspired to do so.

Great car! Good luck on your dyno day.

I suited up to cut my fiberglass hood to make a huge hole for fresh air to come in from the hood scoop that I just got.

My grandpa died young from building and sanding fiberglass bosts... So i always wear my gear when making fiberglass dust... Just a bit more sanding by hand and its ready for paint:

This will both bring in cold air to the engine bay as well as hide most of the boost piping that was sticking out of the hood (see old pic)

8 days till the car goes for paint!

Another update for the Skylark Project:

Got the hood scoop fit, bolted down, fiberglassed, primed, painted, and emblems installed... The painter will mask off the scoop while he paints the car.

Wire wheeled, primed and painted the frame and underside of the car:

Glad to see you've got the little one out there with the car. My little guy is almost 3 and he can't get enough! He wants to go driving around. Pretty soon he'll be there trying to help you out with the body work!

It is painted! The paint is not fully dry but it looks good already!

We did a simulated vinyl roof with rock guard:

Now I need to put the emblems back on, finish painting the underside of the car gloss black (using a brush so there is no chance of overspray on the new paint)...

Then on Sat it goes on the chassis dyno with the 20 PSI springs in the wastegates!

The paint turned out really nice. I like the simulated vinyl roof. The colors go well together.
