Ok so comp thinks about the same on your exhaust lobe. They obviously know that your intake ports don't flow as well as I thought they might so they put more duration in. I like it and think it would run well. I'd put it on a 110 icl instead of 112 when you installed it if you get it.

You think it is in my tune? More timing? You are running 32 deg right?

It may not be all cam, but it's playing a damn big part in the fact it's not making power where he wants it. The current cam is too big for the rpm range he wants. What he wants is the key part to suggesting that he change it.

And yes that would be advancing it 2 degrees.

Ive messed with a handful of BBCs, and they all liked somewhere around 38 with the mechanical advance locked out (left vacuum advance for cruising)

Bump up the timing and 1* per 1psi would be a starting point for pump gas. If its race gas.
    Full timing until 6~8 psi.

since your going to E-85 you need a 114 or more.

Ok I am going to bump the timing up to 38 at 0 vac (0 psi) and have it drop to 30 degrees at 8 psi.

ive re read this probaly 12 times now...lol

i like andy's replies ( also on most of all his posts.. :2thumbs:)
    slow67... same there too..

    my thoughs:
i would change the camshaft, leave the intake dur alone, and make the exh 10-12 less,
the camshaft also advanced minium 5-7 deg... basicly getting the intake valve open early, and opening the exh valve late...

i missed the stick shift bit first up... thats why the is no load on the motor
need to develop some cylinder pressure ;)

those oncentre housings don't flow all that well, and could restrict the exhaust abit... that is a main indicater that the lack of backpressure , isn't spinning up the turbos..

72mm , i like that comp wheel choice...

I ordered a Cam Motion cam HR cam today with 232 duration @ .05 on the int and 224 on the exh lobe sep at 116 and lift on the int at 647" with 1.7 rockers.
It will be a few weeks before I will have a chance to get it installed.

I say advance the cam if it's adjustable, and re tune. It's free.

Nice choice on the bumpstick. Cam motion suggest the reverse split? That cam is damn near identical to the one for my 511. Mine is 230/224 on a 116.

Yes, Cam Motion suggested the reverse split. I felt very confident with the person I talked to on the phone.

Well spline I don't know yet but when I do I'll tell ya. At this point in time my build is on hold due to life. I'm getting married in November and every spare penny at this point is paying for that wedding. I'm still in parts gathering mode for the driveline and the car is a gutted roller waiting on a trip to the chassis shop. I have everything for the motor sitting in boxes at the moment. I think I like pushrods and valve covers. Original plan was a pair of T88's and a goal of 2000 hp on a stock 427 truck block. Most I've heard anyone make with a stock block at this point is 1710. Might end up going to a big single if a trade works out. Gonna try and have the motor together and on an engine dyno by March.
