I'm in the middle of gathering all the pieces to turbo a 3 litre mercury outboard. Tdr (tony doukas racing ) can make any reed you want, and is very familiar with 2 cycle turbo, he's been building yamaha banshee turbo engines for years

 

Thats a good bit of info. Id be happy to chat with him about it.. Thanks for the heads up and id love to know how the v8 works out.

In that thought.. Google and youtube search "rudezon" if you dont already know of that v8 2s build.

 

That was cool! The mercury 3 liter is a v6, the 300x is 300 hp. Mine is crankcase injected, wolf efi, 56 lb hr injectors, did port timing, high compression billet heads, reeds,etc. Makes over 370 hp. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SAwhHaNzmiM

I thought I remember him posting that he was into the Merc 6's back in the day.

 

They were fiddled with .. Lol.

From what i understand the overall engine layout and the crank were big limitation back then.. But many gremlins chased may or may not have been available components of the era.. Todau we have such awsome stuff at our fingertips if we have the budget and time in the same ... Time.lol

 

It probably turns around 8k rpm

We now have a light weight moly front suspension too . . I also plotted and cut side plates from .125" 6061. They will be what attatches the tunnel to the bulkhead.
