Wow that's a REALLY good idea for putting bars through the back glass and keeping the vinyl cover. Got any how-to info on that? My wife can do the sewing I believe 8)

I'll be taking it back off to repaint the bars and finish the windows , so I'll take some pics .

I was lucky in a way because I was changing the old cover anyway . So I was able to use the old one to get it right without worrying about messing it up .

Another good thing is , believe it or not , these replacement covers are only $ 50 . So it wouldnt have been REALLY expensive if I did screw up .

Its hard to explain how I did it with a keyboard , and I didnt take pics as I went , but you just kinda cut a slit over to the bars . I bought the material with the eyelets at walmart . The eyelets were weak so I replaced them with some better ones which actually goes through both materials and makes it stronger now .

You cut the hole much smaller than the bar and make slits like this . Then you can fold it over and sew it .

If you would like me to explain it better PM me , I'll give you my number .

Our OEM Utes that have the bars like that in the tray ( no roll bars obviously ) have velcro and the join overlaps some.

but your lace job looks good.

That toneau stich job came out GREAT! Sucks to hear/see on the wheels. All the troubles you've had with them are really making me second guess on ordering those 721's. I may just go with the BS street lites. I was wanting to do the 721's just be a little different now that so many people seem to be gettting the sl's.

If the next set and the rears dont look good , then I'll try to get a refund and do the same . ( go with BS )

My wife will be out of town so I don't have access to the Honda , and I cant afford the $100 in gas it would take to get the truck there .

I think I might go hang out at Speed World tomorrow night and see whats been going on .

I might be coming out to your track when I'm ready to test the new set up . I'm still waiting on rear shocks . I might have to move a shock mount or both depending on what Strange says .

One shock measures 20" from mount to mount and the other is 17" . Plus the angles of the shocks are crazy . I'm waiting to see what Strange says about it . If we keep the same angle , they might want to make the shocks harder ,( or how ever you say it ) since there will be minimal travel .

Still adjustable , just different than normal .

Just a couple of updates .

I installed a Stroud transmission blanket and the temps went up by 30º . After doing a few test i came up with some supports shown in the pic below . . Supporting the blanket off the transmission brought the temps back to normal .

Not sure if its legal this way , but who cares , its still better than nothing . Even with it not right on the transmission , I cant see anything getting by it into the cab .

    [IMG]#ad

Another thing I did was put a piece of sheet aluminum between the two ribs that support the Tono Cover . The air would come over the cab and hit directly between the two ribs and it would suck in . Not sure what , if anything , it hurt other than the cover itself . But aerodynamically it couldn't have been good .

Two videos : this is at about 80 mph , so you could just imagine what it was doing at over 130mph .
