Stock 350 block will it handle a s480 with race cover?

    I'm still running a stock 350 block with 4 bolt mains half filled! I ran 20psi last season and went 8.68@155 and it's still together! That was only using an S475! It's gonna see a PT91.5 now so we'll see what happens! I plan to put the stock block in the 7's :2thumbs:

    now i dont feel so bad about using a 475 with a stock 350 block......i guess i have nuthing to worry about....

    civic must be a really light car with a sbc?

    how much of a difference will block fill make in strengthening the block? Right now I got a 010 4 bolt main with arp studs and would like to add a little cheap insurance if I could.

    The civic is around 2600lbs! :D The motor is a 383: bored .030 with a 3.75 stroke. Some "clearancing" had to be done on the block for that stroke and it's still ok!

    I figured it would be lighter then that, but my sonoma still has a 1000 lbs on you!

    i hope you guys got a engine nappy on those stock blocks at or over 1000 hp.....
    or good suspension on the rear, for when you drive over the crank....

    as i said in an eariler post, the engines are a time bomb at that power level
    would hate to see any one get hurt,
    if your guna run the stock block at these levels, please put a engine nappy on.....

    I run Brodix Track 1 Heads and a Lunati turbo cam w/114ls and YES I do wear a diaper :bah:
