Re: 25-5 Drag radial build up. UPDATE smoothing firewall

Last year I went to the track and the car would take to long to spool and had to big of a cross over. Didnt like how the kit was that I had so wanted to make my own. The car went a 12.3 @ 133 with like a 2.7 60ft. :bang:
    So over the winter WE
Starting to fab up the new headers. Started with a call to Brian @ Quicktimes motorsports for all the S/S parts tand Alum to make the headers. Great prices and good guy to deal with. Fast shipping and all.

I was going to mount the turbo facing forwards but after looking at it and not wanting to replace parts that I didnt have to I said we will mount it sideways. Cars are going fast with them in the engine comparment so whay not.

Cut lower rad support off and made a new one. Then hung turbo in the car and went to work.

Yes just with a sawzaw. When welding it togeather it would burn threw very easy. Crap metal in that area. It looks nice and clean. Wish I did it before the cage went in the car.

I did the same with mine. It was a PITA, but it came out really nice. I ended up taking sheet metal and folding it backwards (oposite of the stock seam. Then welding them together. Made it a little less of a pain and less burn throughs.
