You didn't really need to post this in another thread when you have your own. If it's not a ball bearing turbo you don't use that

Took awhile to read this thread, a lot of info. I'm building a 88 foxbody, 6.0 turbo deal. My PG trans is getting done now. I also, have been debating the turbo selection. This is my 1st LS, and my 1st turbo. I was thinking about the gt45, 80mm, but for 50 or so dollars you can get the BW 475. I even thought about twins with smaller turbos, but I think that would be a pain. It would help on exhaust though, 3in out of each 1.Whatever I decide on, I'm going with VS racing, you email him he gets back with you, plus he sure seems to provide a lot of help on here. I'm not buying something off ebay, most of the time if you have a problem your screwed, and tech support isn't to good off of ebay either.

Just my opinion... but one of the best things about the Gt45's is the compressor to turbine ratio. You start throwing huge compressors in the mix and it's going to slow spool, raise back pressure, and perform poorly overall. Esp. if this is for your Twin setup.

This thread is making it hard for me to keep my tiny SVO T3s and not ditch the twins for a gt45.

So on the journal bearing gt45's do you need to run a restrictor?
