Thank you! I wanted something that I could take to the track, and pick my kids up from school in. I would like to do a drag week type race once I get everything done and functional.

Well almost ready for the dyno Monday!
Went through the brakes found some stuff loose on one of the rear brakes. Got that all fixed and ready to go. Re bled the brakes again also.
Pulled my intake tube and bead rolled a hump in it to help keep the clamps on. Painted it and put real bolt clamps on the throttle body side. I don’t really like how it came out and how close to the header it is. So I will be redoing that one day. No time soon.
Got the transmission back in. Got a pressure /temp sensor plumbed and the wires ran inside the car. Exhaust is all bolted up. So basically it is ready to fire back up.
Think I fixed a small fuel leak at the filter. It was never wet but I see residue. Also worked on fixing all the oil leaks. This thing is like a Harley. Will definitely be getting a different pan.
Got the boost controller wired, and plumbed. Pulled the valve covers off and just checked the rockers to make sure everything looked ok after a few street miles.
Sheet metal for the door panels and fire brake are both almost done. I’m going to skip the side plastics and sheet metal for now, but did get the railings done for the floor piece that’s missing.
I got it riveted in but I think I am going to change the way the rivets are at the wheel tub. I want them to look finished inside the tub w the wheel off, but they are the opposite now. I probably won’t change it before the race though.
My driving suit came in and my other seat. Still waiting on seat belts. I think I have everything I need at this point to get the car to Bradenton except for the seat belts and tires. But there is always something. We have a set of 275 pros I might put on for now to save a little cash. They were on a faster car that 60’ way better then I will so they should be fine for me.
I must say how lucky I am!! I am a week out, I have a ton of work to do, on the car and at work, but I’m not Evan stressed. A little nervous about my finances and my driving…lol! But honestly knowing that I have a lot of great people behind me helping me get everything done has been a huge part of me getting the car finished

Well, took a lot of work and and a few on dyno repairs, but she is still alive! After 2days on the dyno it made 760. I feel there is still more but for now I already spent a extra day on the dyno and still have a lot left to do on the car itself. Tomorrow is another day of thrashing! Doubtful I will make the track tomorrow. C40C8862-379F-4547-8A2B-EA970E408866.jpeg #ad

Thanks, but honestly I’m very lucky to have really good people in my corner helping me! Without all the help none of this would be able to happen!! Also it helps that I do have enough drive to put in 20 hour days.
Well got a lot of stuff done today. The tin work is complete enough to go to the race. I fixed a boot on the starter we rubbed through on the dyno. Got the oil changed. And swapped out a terminal strip I broke. Got pinion angle set, and adjusted ride height, my bar angle isn’t that great but will be fine for now. Tried to get the car aligned but have to go back tomorrow. hopefully I will be done enough for a track rental tomorrow, then go to Bradenton Friday to finish the car! Made it to the track, but the car didn’t want to go down the track. I had problems w the 2step and dome pressure. After I got that fixed I pulled up did a burn out and kicked the intake gasket out of the back at the china rail. Whether it was going on the 2 step or in the burn out I’m not sure. At this point I’m going to skip Bradenton. Pull the engine fix that rering the engine and put a evac pump and a new converter in the car and try it again.

Still looks like victory to me, you did an incredible job getting that car from a dust bunny habitat to on the track in a very short period of time.

Thank you, at the end of the day I felt the same. It’s the adventure not alway the destination that makes it fun. I just have the next round of fixes to take care of, and a few upgrades.
Already put a order in for a new converter. Should have that done in a few days. Now that i have been on the dyno I decided to get ahead and pull the engine, take it apart and at least Rering it and inspect it. The engine was a used n/a engine I switched cams and intakes in. So I figured it would be a good idea. I have a set of billet atomizer injectors I need to send out and have them checked and maybe try some of that ignite 98 fuel. Last I need a evac pump!
I also have a lot of suspension upgrades and rear upgrades I want to do to the car.I have all the parts I just need to do it. On top of finish the rest of the car. I’m hoping that I will be back at the track in another 3 weeks.

Small update, got the injectors sent out this week, pulled the car out of the trailer and got the engine pulled. Super busy after not doing a lot of shop work the last few weeks

    Ok, another up date.
Found out my hood injectors aren’t any good, So I will leave what I have in there.
Got my intake and valve covers off and found a keeper that wasn’t completely set so it mangled the top of the valve. Super glad I found that, that could of been bad.
Decided I’m going to leak the engine down tomorrow, before I pull the head. I want to see if I really need rings or not.
my buddy gave me a evac pump and another buddy gave me a pulley, so I started to mock that up to make spacers and noticed I need to make a
New alternative for spacer, so after the heads off that’s up next.
I did get all the hot side I wanted to get coated off, and almost all cleaned and ready for ceramic coating. That should get dropped off tomorrow.
If everything goes right I should have it fired up not this weekend but the following! B4B84420-DD49-455F-860D-4701A5A09C9D.jpeg #ad
