Been collecting up some parts, got a ATI balancer, a new hardwood 4" cowl hood installed, . Car has been smogged, insured, & registered.. Been testing its streetability lately, seems to be going ok. Going to be heading to the track this Thursday, to see what the tech guys wanna say about it!!

Bolt on hood? Whats the plans for it now?

 

It's a hardwood 4" lift off.. I hope to be making a pass in the next month or so. Some new radials, & safety gear, & I should be good to go. Been driving it on the street a lot, & I think I'm gonna need to upgrade the cooling system..

 

Oh Boy, The car running a little hot?

 

Yeah got a little hot one day, but think it might of had some air in the system. Drove the car 50 miles to the track & back, & had zero issues, I'm pretty happy with that!! Went through tech & only got dinged for a couple small items, most of which I already knew.. Parts have been ordered & installed to pass tech now... Cage padding, updated harness, helmet, sticker (push off) for ON/OFF switch, wire neutral safety switch, installed my new balancer, & wired the 2 step..

Looking to purchase these & install on my 8.25" wide weld wheels!!! Hoping they'll fit the car and not bulge out too bad!!

Can figure out how to rotate my pics from my phone.. But anyways, went out last night & made 5 1/8 mile hits.. Made lots of driver errors, but all in all had a somewhat successful evening.. First hit on the foot brake 7.00 @ 102mph 1.74 60
Next hit 7.15 @ 100 1.90 60 slightly heat soaked, next hit it went 6.97 @ 100 accidentally left in 2nd gear, 4th hit left on the brake went 1.45 60ft went out about 400 ft & a ground wire fell off a relay killed the car dead in the water, coasted to a 7.08 @ 76mph, fixed it quickly & made the last hit @ about 9pm left on the brake, went 6.81 @ 100mph 1.60 60ft all passes were on 9.5 psi on pump e85

 

It's taken awhile, but I'm Pretty happy with today's 1/4 mile hits. 10.28, spun, 10.20,10.19,spun. The 3 good passes were all in the high 6.40 range 1/8 mile.. all passes were @ right around 10psi. One pass, pulled 1.38 60ft STOKED.. I'm hoping I can figure out some small issues & get this thing in the 9's on 10 psi..
