That's what I do. Just use the laptop for now and leave in in the passenger seat. When the boost controller software is ready I think I'll just go ahead and get the touchscreen so I can controll the boost on the fly.

    Coming along nice! :)

    About your turbo...
Do you have the exact specs on it?
Part # and such... I dont think it's the new s400sx3 model...

I will have to get you the part# when I get bac from vaca. But I had ordered it from Jose at forced inductions and it is the s400 sx3 model 80mm. Why do you think it's not the model? What is different with yours?

Maybe it's a older model of the S400SX3 or something Forcedinduction has buildt?

Compared to mine 2012 year Borg Warner S400SX3-80...

Looking at your pictures you have the #177104 exhaust housing. 1.10A/R and 83/74mm turbine
    mine has #178790 1.25A/R and 87/81mm turbine.

Also all new S400SX3 80mm units have racecover and billet compressor wheel as a standard.

By the looks of it you also have the racecover but not the latest model (standard housing had v-band outlet)
Maybe you have the S380R? Can't tell without any numbers...

It is the 87/81 turbine with the 1.10 i left it like that cuz i can always upgrade it. Also the reason I don't have the v band outlet on the compressor side is cuz I didn't want that. I asked him not to machine it. The billet wheel is standard but I wanted the cast wheel to lower the price. But it still is the s400.

The 1.10 was also machined to fit the 87/81 turbine.

    Alright!

Well it all over!! I went to a local car show yesterday with my wife and kids. The ride was great. On our way home the car felt a lil wierd and it stumbled a lil all of a sudden u had flames shooting by my feet and Trans tunnel then out of dash. I stopped the car as fast as I could and turned it off. While I was doing all that I was on fire and burned my hand, nose, eye lid, and hair. I yanke the kids out from the back and pushed my wife out the door. Thank god we all got away fine. The motor, turbo, turbo kit, three rims one is a lil toast and the transmission also rearend is salvageable. I am going to end up selling everything and hang up my coat. I want to thank everyone who supported me And liked my build.

Damn brotha.... Sorry to hear about your loss. All I can say us Thank god you were able to get your wife and children out of the car. I'm glad to hear that everyone pretty much made it out unharmed.

On a side note..... Do you have any idea on what started or caused the fire? If I can do anything to help please let me know

So glad you and the family are okay. Sad, Sad day for this build, i for one was following every close, just for the fact that our cars had very similar power combos.
