How fast on AFR185s?-twin T70s-393w?

    Mate, im just a dumb diesel mechanic , that has a fetish for turbochargers..( :angel: )
    those heads were just polished with a very small emery ( spelling) wheel..
    nothing special...

    .510 total valve lift
    1.5 rockers
    BBC oil pump 8) 8)

    twin 57mm turbonetics sleeve bearings / T3 turbine with stg 3 wheel
    methanol fuel
    GOOD ignition
    this was for the dyno sheet...

    later we put some GTK 550's on ( turbonetics 61mm , with stg 5 wheel...)
    went better again... :2thumbs:

    i know u will, thats why is good to discuss these things, im only bored today, so thats why im giving my opinion ....
    i put some 200cc heads on this engine... took 882's off .
    guess what... it spooled like a bag of shit...

    put the 882 back on.... away it went
    once ur on boost, who cares, the runner could be 400 cc's ( well u know what i mean..lol)

    just my opinion.. :)

    Good opions guys!! I can sell my AFR185s and get Vic Jrs and make a couple hundred bucks swapping. But after reading the posts here am unsure. I can port/polish the Vics and make them nice just dont know??
    truck weighs 4430#
    PI3000 stall converter(E4OD trans with electronic Converter lockup)
    Will be twin MP T70 Dynamic flow P-Trims
    I will get a Cam Made for my combo(even though 1 I got works great)
    I have VicJr. EFI Spyder intake.

    What do you guys think is better head for my combo. Low end and Boost response is VERY important.

    That pretty much spells it out then. Smaller head gets the job. They flow about the same throughout most of the lift range anyway.
