This was the point i was tryin to get across with carb....start looking in the carb section

And yes DodgeStrike..last week at a track rental...got caltracs on it now and flipped the rear on top the springs so im working on my 60fts now went from 2.0s to a 1.69....My goal was 10's on 8psi on pump gas so now im goin to start turning it up...the problem was before i couldnt get it hook from 60ft out so it was even worth turning it up at all

I have a variety of carbs from 650 to 950cfm..
I guess I can start with the 750 and go from there.

I can always throw this cam in the N/A 440.. This is where I will need some help on choosing a cam. I read the thread with the stroked 385 Chevy P/U and was pretty close to his but his is a roller. Big difference I know.

I was just a little concerned because you said it was mainly street driven. With a low compression ratio requireed with boost 9:1 ish and a very short stroke 3.38" paired with a cam hitting 240* makes for a doggy OFF boost engine. On the street my truck is almost never in boost because all hell breaks loose when you get into boost on the street. Having that extra throttle response and low end of a smaller cam, IMO, makes for a much better driving STREET motor. The track takes a distant second in my world though.

It is a badass streetcar now with 440 in it. Smokes'm thru all 4 gears. If it ends up being as badazz as some others I have seen and read about, Hell with it!! Throw a cage in it and let'r fly! Lol! This is my Toy for Saturday night. My every day drivers are, 03 Explorer and a Toyota Avalon. My second toy is a 98 Neon 2Dr Highline the I am looking to buy a salvage SRT4 and do a swap..

Just figured I would dare to be different with the Cuda. Just something to tinker with and is a blast to drive when I do drive it. I will be totally satisfied if I can drive it to the track and rip all my buddies in their stroked smallblock trucks with all their N2O. If I was to knock down a nice 5.90-6.00 1/8th that would just be a nut! LoL!

I'd take either of the crower blower cams before one of the turbo cams.

    Yeah,
I am trying to get my buddies cam profile... He has a 440 with a 8-71 blower turning 10.50's in the 1/4 blowin the tires on launch. Pretty kick azz!

Care to share your thoughts on why? I've read some on the reverse split and have a friend using one and like it. He had to custom order one though to not have the lazy lobes.

Wasn't necessarily saying reverse splits are no good, but those 2 are TINY for sure. I think that a straight pattern or one with a little more ex dur with 4-8 deg. overlap would be better for a more race oriented combo. Maybe if you had a smaller motor and a turbine(s) on the small side, and / or its a street driver, the reverse pattern would be a good choice. I think the main reason for reverse splits are for combating reversion when running high pressure ratios.

That aligns with my thinking and my intentions for my project. Small cam for good cruise mpg and small exh side to mitigrate a smaller turbine and higher exh psi (this is/was with T3 .63's on a 383, if I end up using the TV73 1.23 it's not as much of an issue)

    Kinda what I figured! I am using a T6 with a 1.10 A/R housing.

Since I have it I may as well see what it'll do. Blower and Turbo cams are at 114 lobe seperation and mine is 112. Duration is pretty close too. Mine at .287... My lift is considerably Larger tho at .540 lift

Seems like it will be pretty nasty!

not sure if your refering to overlap.... but the duration @.050" is a much better method of comparing camshafts. your cam has a much more aggressive lobe than the crower.
