Your car looks great. Here is what I have been working on for the past couple years. Currently I have a 427W Novi 200, TKO for the car, but I have been gathering parts for a 5.4 DOHC conversion. Weldcraft did my wheels also, they do top notch work. 20x8.5 and 20x12 w/345/25/20 Nitto Invo's on the back. Hopefully it will be off to paint in the next couple weeks

Yep. Pretty cool. Steve, an editor for MM&FF, follows these forum threads, and we got to talkin'. He mentioned an upcoming article on mini-tubbin', and I sent him some pics of my set up. Only two small shots of the car, but pretty cool regardless.

This is the second car I have had that made it into a national mag (even if they are small clips).

The project has been slow since the last update although I have made some progress. I did remove the dash so I could look into my options on wiring. I am also going to be fabricating my front suspension starting this weekend. HAD TO WAIT FOR MY TAX RETURN CASH !! I made the mistake of adding up my reciepts, and its scary what I have already spent even the way it sits right now in pieces.

I promise, more pics to come soon.

the car is still in the air on the jack stands. working on front suspension now. will post once its done and on the ground.

I did remove the dash as well so I could evaluate what / if I will make some wiring changes.





Wish I had made some more progress. Need to order some parts now. Measuring up and trying to decide between fab'n my own SLA front suspension or cutting it all away and welding in an artmorrison mustang II IFS (http://www.artmorrison.com/2006cat/40.pdf). Leaning towards SLA setup. Need to do one or the other regardless as the backspacing and front tire width I have chosen will not clear a stock strut (even without a coilover conversion).

In order to prep for either approach, I did fab up a jig with the front suspension at proper cast/camber, ride height, and centered in the fender so I would know where my end point needs to be for the hubs (hub to hub was 59.25" in width).

Hope you're not upset, but I liked your wheel combo so much I ordered a set for myself. Just got the rears sent off to Weldcraft today. My car is a minitubbed '84 t-top coupe utilizing a 331 stroker and all the aero (87+) body pieces and interior.

I'm going with 335-35/17 Hoosiers in the rear, fronts are only 215s to clear my coilovers.

Love your car man, I keep an eye on this thread for updates.

lol. surprisingly, i haven't seen anyone else running these rims. i just happen to run across em in one of the mustang mags, and they were the right price. i thought they were pretty cool, but not over the top flashy either. wonder if weldcraft will cut me a deal on future jobs since i have hooked em up with so much free advertising (MM&FF, here, etc...).
