Very nice work......car is definetly gonna be badass!

    Only problem is:

Now you have me thinking of mini tubbing, notching the frame rails, and cutting out the spare tire well on my '03 Cobra..... :D

yea. got about 37" wheel well to wheel well. gonna cut some wood pieces for the seat backs and send em to get covered in similar material as what i pick out for the race seats. would be too snug for a grown man, but fine to drive my 5 and 3 year old to a show. in a test fit, i think i can trim the bottom seat and have it recovered as well. thats the plan, but we'll see how i can make it work. :)

Looks good. Is the picture with the wheel tucked up under the car before or after the wheels were widened?

after. all the widening went to the inside so the backspacing just increased by the amount it was widening. this keeps the wheel properly spaced to the edge of the wheel well.

yep. stock length 8.8. almost done with the cage. also, i picked up my motor this weekend. gt500 engine minus blower which didnt matter since i planning on going TT. will post more pics hopefully this week. 5.4 DOHC makes the 5.0L sbf look like a peanut.

    Thanks,

    Michael

andy, voyage home went very smooth. really appreciate you making the road trip to meet me. couldn't have been happier with the deal especially all the extras you threw in for nothing to make it easier on me (engine cradle, motor hoist brackets and chains, etc..). hope you didn't spend it all in one place.

Those wheels and tires look great! Love the low ride height with the wide wheels!

Updated vid with some more pics. Removed interior & installed roll cage. I am going to fab up a custom rear seat so didn't run the rear bars into the frame otherwise there would be no head room. The wheel well sides are 1/8th steel and 100% welded to the frame rail. Probably not the strongest way to do it, but best way I could do it while keeping a back seat. I still have two small bars I need to tie to the frame rails to make it an 8 point (currently only a 6 point).

Next on the list is to work on wrapping up the interior.

    Thanks,

    Michael
