Ah, because you are using the carb converted intake. The rails sit out father and let them clear the dist.

Got it started today with the new solid roller cam and heads. It was wanting to idle @ 600. Vacuum showed 7 at 600. Hooked up the laptop and found the a/f was really lean. The o2 was trying to add 20% and it was still maxed lean. Adjusted the fuel table and when I got it to 14.5:1 it wanted to idle @ 1300 and showed 11 vacuum. Got it down to 1k and it holds @ 9 vacuum witch is more then the old hyd cam.

Did a quick spool test when I got it running with the new cam and at first I didn't think it was any faster. Until I compared a older file I did when I first put the s480 on. The top graph (tbtest6) was after playing with a/f and timing to get it to spool faster. And the top graph was already holding the brakes and a little throttle before going WOT. Where as the bottom graph is just from idle to WOT on the brake. It spooled from idle almost 2 seconds faster.

doh, got Kurgan's fuel rails today and went to put them on. They use 3/8 NPT and my current Aeromotive (Trickflows) use -8 orb. I just ordered some of Glenn's 45° rails, but those are -6 orb. BBRC rails are the only -8 orb rails but they won't clear my throttle bracket due to the small egr delete/spacer and Vic 5.0 efi intake. Trying to decide what to do. The rails haven't shipped yet from LMR, so I could cancel them. But if I go BBRC's I have to space out the throttle body and change the cold side tube some. Guess the -6 ORB of Glenn's will be ok, they are suppose to be good to 1500 hp. Then again I am running E85......

Called Glenn's to ask what he thought they would support on E85. "Oh e85 is crap and you will want to anodize the rails or drain it. The e85 will kill the rails."

Screw it, canceling the rails for now. If it becomes a problem, I might change to a spyder intake.

No, not using the AOD TV Cable. And I have that bracket (bought it a couple months ago) but it won't fit. It and the stock bracket hit the fuel rails :(

Best picture I can find of it tonight, but the red line is the edge of the fuel rail. The stock throttle bracket has been bent and welded to fit around it. If not, it hits the rail and injector under it.

    Will do.

Went to Pony Wars @ SGMP yesterday. First pass on 20 psi and 20° it ran a 9.7@137 with a 1.39 60'. Looked the car over some, tried to add some timing and boost. Put it up to 24° and tried for 25 psi. Ran a 9.5@139 with a 1.35 60'. A/F was showing in the mid to low 12s and boost stayed at 20 it didn't increase. Found the the eboost2 solenoid not working. Got it to work with a little hammering and hitting it with 19v from a battery pack.

Next run I put it to 27 psi and got a 1.32 60' 9.2@147. A/F again was in the mid to low 12s and injectors showed hitting 100% above 6500 rpms even with the JMS Boost a pump on. Fuel pressure wasn't dropping off, it was a steady line. Also blew out the passenger side header gasket on this pass.

1st round of the Quick 8, I didn't build boost and left soft 1.58 60' 9.3@149. The guy I was racing came by me right at the end for the win. Was a close race. Looking over the log, even though I didn't change timing/boost the Inj Duty Cycle went even to 100% even faster. And stayed maxed through 1st and 2nd. And a/f now went 12.8 to 13.0.

Found out one of the fuel jugs I use, I had left in my friends trailer. And a couple weeks ago they used it to drain a old derby car fuel tank. Leaving all kinds of crud in the can. He didn't realize it was my jug. I picked it up one night and he didn't see I had. I poured the last of the can into the e85 tester and found this crud floating in it. Must of either clogged my filters or my injectors.

I looked at my car and my throttle linkage is not close to the fuel rails at all.

It will be interesting to see what you find with the A/F being that lean.

    What pump are you using?
