I forgot to add, I sold my SBM manifolds, hotside, downpipe, turbo and gate for $750! Gotta get rid of the rest of my half decent Mopar goodies to try and fund this project! :)

Cool man it's going to be a fun project can't wait to see how it all comes together, hope you get some good pics of oil pan fitment around the K-member and steering. Low 10's should not be a problem with the LS.

Yep, taking lots of pics. Started an "LS Swapped Mopars" group of FB to help crowd source that kind of info. :) I can't wait to get this thing done. Decent power and highway-ability sounds fantastic.

Here's my DIY solid mounts. Plate steel, 1" gas pipe, and some 1/2" washers from Menards. :) A good excuse to practice with my tig welder.

A couple pics of the pan fitment. Had to modify the K member a little. Gonna box it in real nice.

Ended up cutting out the rest of that curved part to get the engine low enough. If I had to do it again, I would have bought an el cheapo ebay oil pan and chopped/welded it into a center sump deal to minimize K member surgery. Oh well.

Got a little more work done. EBay headers fit decent, got the engine levelled a little better and the trans crossmember hacked up. Gonna fab a new center piece for it and reinforce it real well.

Not a whole ton of progress lately. Made a transmission crossmember. Started roughing in the turbo kit. Decided to stick with factory truck manifolds for fitment reasons. I may end up using those pretty headers on my fox car when I swap that someday. Started an "LS Swapped Mopars" group on FB that has been helpful. Found some guys who want to do/are doing the same thing to bounce ideas off of.

Nice, are you guys in that group? It's gotten big enough that I don't know everyone anymore.

    I’m in this one.
Face book made me change my name from prochargedmopar to Todd Richardson a few months ago after having that name for many years.

Well, I've been making a little bit of progress. I get into the sexy part of the build, the turbo kit! :D That was enough to keep my lazy butt motivated for long enough to actually finish something. Got a couple of gift cards for Christmas that were specifically earmarked for race car parts, so I'm going to put in an order today for the next bunch of odds and ends to make this thing actually move under its own power. :) Also have to figure out how I'm gonna clean up the harness. Thinking that nice mesh stuff and some shrink wrap ends.

Here's a few progress pics and a first start vid:

I also finished up most of the cold side stuff, just need to find my holesaw and snag a coupler for the turbo outlet. Had to chop and remake the center part of the core support to hold up the header panel and grille. Came out pretty nice, and the IC is hidden pretty well. Eventually I'd like to route the exhaust to the back bumper and make it nice a quiet, but there's not a lot of room around the torsion bars for pipes. Plan is to get it running and driving, then do those kinds of upgrades. :)

The core support didn't leave much room initially, and this look is a bit too ricey for me.

Well this heap is finally on the road! 5 psi spring in the gate since a single 255lph pump probably can't support much more than that. Still on a stock converter, so the Sloppy Mechanics Colorado base tune needs some tweaking, but this thing already drives better than it ever has! Lazily cruises along at like 65mph thanks to the overdrive, 3.23 gear, and 28" radials. Currently saving for a pair of 340's to cram in the fuel cell, Assassin bars, decent shocks, and an ARB for the rear, a PTC converter, and a Hemi Denny cover setup for the front. Once I delete the torsion bars I can run an exhaust to the back bumper and make it all quiet. In the meantime the fender dump is obnoxious and awesome.

Man, it's been over a year since I've updated this? I've actually made some progress! So far:

    New bigger fuel cell
    Twin 450s in the cell
    Flex sensor install
    Billet RPS fuel filter
MSD 2 step halfway hacked in
BOV so I can stop blowing couplers off
    Rear ARB and traction bars

I still have to get good shocks and some monoleafs, and finish up some odds and ends. I'd really like to swap it to a Holley so I can learn to tune it myself. HPT is a little overwhelming sometimes. It's currently on 11psi, and a blast to do big smokey rollers in. Anyway, here's some videos from the last year:

Thanks man! I think I'm like 10 years into this stupid project now, but maybe one good year's worth of actual work. I gotta stick with Matt Happel's saying "a few minutes a day goes a long way!"

I will say LS swapping this thing was 1000% worth the effort, the EFI and overdrive make it very pleasant to cruise.

Small update - working on the 2 step wiring. I also need to figure out the suspension tuning so this thing will actually hook. Seems to build boost nice on the footbrake though.
