And as far as how much boost, I'm gonna run as much as it takes to get me a 10.99 or lower time slip. That works out to 12-14 lbs I think. We shall see.

Just got home from my first boosted test drive! This thing is hella faster than its ever been, and it's peg-the-wideband rich and only on 5 psi! I'm so pumped, my hands are still a little shaky! I still have to plumb and wire the intercooler pump and finish up a bunch of little details, but it's finally drivable!!!

Congratulations! Ain't nothing like the boost. Great job on the fab work by the way. I'm impressed by the intercooler setup.

Congrats on your first test drive, I remember my first drive in my boosted car and it really motivated me to keep working hard on the project.... Once you feel that boost it is SO addictive!

    Sweet!

    I have a '69 Valiant that's getting a 360 very soon, and I have a similar plan for it.

Well I swapped my street tires back on it and have been driving it to work this week! :D The cold ambient temps and cold roads make the 295's nice and hard so it blazes them through the beginning of 3rd. I put my secondhand PTC converter in and it totally changed the personality of the car. It's sloppier around town than I expected, but when you lay the power to it, it really rages. It was spec'd to be 3500 rpm behind an N/A 400hp 408" motor, so it's probably not ideal, but it sure is fun!

I still haven't wired or plumbed the intercooler pump yet, and my wideband is stuck at 15:1 for some reason. I know it's not that lean, I swapped out the sensor and repaired a melted section in the harness, but I'm afraid I may have jacked up the gauge part when the harness hit the old headers. But it runs and it's faster than any car I've owned, so I'm a happy camper. :D

The fender dump is nowhere near as loud as I expected, and there are no fumes in the car anymore! Way quieter and less stinky than the Ultra Flows that were dumped at the axle with my old N/A setup.

Here it is hanging out underneath my racecar project at work. :)

Looks great, really like how you laid everything out in the engine bay. Get that WB fixed and IC pump going and it will pick up a good deal!

Thanks for the kind words guys! I wouldn't be even halfway done without the collective knowledge on this site! :) (and if I was done, my rods would probably be in the street somewhere cause I wouldn't have the foggiest idea how to tune it)

Today's projects are screwing with the wideband some more and wiring in my homemade adjustable 2 step! :D

Testing out the 2 step. Makes gate pressure pretty damn quickly, especially considering the tune is so terrible. :)
