I can tell you for a fact the magnum truck manifold will hit the power steering box. I never tried it with a manual box, but if my memory serves me right it should clear if installed the right way. Maybe it was the 92-98 magnum Grand Cherokee left manifold. The A body is tight on the left side. I've never mocked it up but I always thought two left manifolds would work. The drivers side pipe runs under the car like a factory y pipe then back forward to meet passenger side at the turbo.

I too can 100% confirm that power steering is a no-go with the magnum manifold in any position. (neither manifold fits on that side) There's a couple of builds on the forums here that used a passenger manifold on the driver's side with the manual steering box. I think that they may have done some grinding on the manifold though. We shall see.

More sloppy progress today. How much do you think non-mandrel bends are gonna hurt me? Probably less of a factor than my terrible merge is gonna be.

I have a decent amount of clearance around the crossover. Gotta get some ball and flange dealers to mate to the manifold. And yes, I'm aware that my garage is a horrific mess.

Made a little more progress. Gotta get some V bands and downpipe tubing. Also, we had a daughter a couple weeks ago, so I've been a little busy. :)

Looking good. I wouldn't worry too much about the non mandrel bends as I've done it before with good results. My truck project is that way and I'm almost to the tuning phase on it, so I'll have some more real world results pretty soon.

Oh and congrats on your new daughter.
Projects can and will (and should) take the back seat.

Man I'm glad I found this build thread, I've got a similar build, just not going to be put in a car. I will continue following your build for sure!

More progress! Just gotta get one more 4" 90, and a couple of vbands, then I have to hack the gate onto there somewhere. Then I can move on to the cold side and fuel stuff. I have a new goal of May for driving this thing, because I want to go to the local Mopar club show and park this turd next to some high dollar slow...I mean show cars. :)

Some more slow progress. I have the fuel system just about buttoned up. -10 to a filter, -8 to a Walbro 255, -8 to the regulator and back to the cell. -6 from reg to carb. Getting to the home stretch for first fire up!

    Looks great!
How did you run your oil return line? To the fuel pump block off?

Looks like your almost there! You going to run an intercooler or what kind of boost you planning to run?

Thanks for the encouragement guys! The oil drain is going to the fuel pump block off plate. I plan on running an air to water intercooler under the hood where the battery used to live. My list is getting shorter and shorter. Buttoned up some wiring details in the dash last night and plan on spending a few hours on misc little stuff tonight. :)
