Since work on the Fairlane has been slow,I've been entertaining myself with the Falcon. Did an electronic conversion on the distributor and some carb/timing tuning, and a 3/3.5" drop.

It's funny how much more I like it with the drop. It's just cooler now!

As Dirty Harry said,"A man's got to know his limitations". The shop is doing the cage. I don't have a bender and the guy doing it does A++ quality work.

I can't see how its possible to not be satisfied with that fitment. Other than the B pillar bar being so far back because of your seat placement from the side you wont even be able to tell it has a cage. He definitely does nice work. I've done a few cages and it really is tedious to get everything tucked up nicely like that.

You really are almost sitting in the back seat! Are you going to add power windows to the front and back windows?

    No creature comfort features!

In the back seat for sure. The window net doesn't need to drop down to get in/out. I told him to just make it bolt in. :2thumbs:

    Stopped in again today:

Either you crazy or I am a wimp (second is certain, not sure on the first). Strapped in the staging lanes how do you open the door or roll down the window to get some air? Hell I have thought about putting a catch can on the A/C drain so I can keep it on and not water the track.

Do you have an umbrella girl like the big-time pros to open and close the door? I assumed you would not be able to reach the door handle.
