The local dealer said they had problems with stock 6.4's as well. Every diesel I have ever owned got all the stock stuff out right away. Less problems. You remind me of myself with gm diesels now.

Sounds like you work at a dealership?

Nope , my own shop and 80% of my work is diesel..
Along with my regular customers a large construction company here sends all their light duty diesel stuff to me so I'm kept hopping with all brands.

I am exact opposite. I think the 6.4 is way better than the 6.0 could ever be.. Once the emissions on 6.4 have been handled I have had next to no problems with them.

Any chance you have changed an exhaust manifold or bolt yet ?
You go do one or two and tell me how it's better..lol
then tell me how this reverse flow cooling system doesn't fill the heater core full of shit.
I will listen because I need an education.

My 6.0 heatercore exploded onto some employees. Good times good times. This was a van body though. Still sitting to this day after is stalled out two years ago. Started taking the high pressure oil system apart and gave up.

Manifold bolts.. Not had any problems..
Had to go through an engine a guy over heated cause radiator failed and he kept driving..

But the 6.0 high pressure pumps, injectors ,turbos,
    Turbo vanes sticking, head gaskets.
Egr system filling engine with coolent..
All sorts of problems..sick of them

I think we will agree to disagree which one is better..
