How did you mount that trans to the SHO engine? Very cool build, I had three sho's and may grab another one. The only thing that sucks is the transmissions. How much boost and power do you expect and what are you doing for the engine management?

This is wild. I liked the shop truck, but this one just takes the cake. I have a good friend who wears rubber boots. He says its so the sheep don't run away. Never asked about a dog though. ;)

I'm still brewing the finished adapter... its been alot of fun so far- custom flywheel, modded chevy mini starter, and the ever changing adapter plate.

As for power, I don't think 500 is too much to ask for, its a fully built block with SBC eagle rods, wider hard backed rods bearings and wiseco pistons (8:1).

Thanks for the info. How stout is the bottom end, i never had to take one apart? do you have the heads ported and any idea of what they flow? I wanted to boost mine but the trans was the hold up.

Stock pistons like to break the skirts do to huge gas porting. Rods are OK, bearings are skinny and spin pretty easy if you beat on it... crank is good.
IIRC head flow is ~220 intake ~185 exhaust @ stock lift. Perfect for a good ol low comp turbo engine.

I just want it for the old fart cruises
But I already installed a 4.0x short nose R200 so its going to be LIVELY :D Its just an open for now but there's tons of options for differentials, I kind of want a feel for it before I decide what type of diff I want.
Basic cheap coilover sleeves mounted to the stock strut tubes but I did remove the old spring perches. Basic Tokico inserts, they seem to do well on our roads. 240SX discs in the back, 99 Camaro brakes front (as in the pic, can't beat 12
" vented rotors, aluminum calipers, plus pads for ~$200 for both sides.).
So all in all it should survive some track days :2thumbs:

I might get some more pics of it later today... g'd ankle :bang:
