every march pro-dyno in pineville has a huge dyno day for carolinarides.com members. I've had it dyno'd there twice before, it was like $50 for three pulls. I'll probably wait until then, the drag strip will be my main concern lol. I want to get into 11's, 11.99 will make me happy. I doubt I'll do it with 6psi, but I dont really want to go over 10, so we'll see what happens

Well, i put the stiffer wastegate spring in, did a pull, pegged my MAF, and leaned to 13.5:1.....it didn't blow the engine up, I believe it just lifted the heads(been driving it since, no problems) but if i get into boost for like a split second the coolant starts bubbling out of the overflow lol. Got into it at 40mph in 2nd, blew the tires off, let up, went to third, pulled crazy hard. 60-90mph in 3 seconds according to the datalog. Pulling the heads off this weekend, going back in with fel pro 9333pt-1 head gaskets and ARP studs. Will have more updates later....can't afford to buy a new MAF and injectors(91% duty cycle and still leaned out) so I'm gonna get a manual boost controller and find a happy medium b/t my old boost level and the one that caused me all this grief lol

Okay, so I pulled the heads off and got everything put back together this past weekend. Did a quick paintjob on the valve covers and ran some taylor spark plug wires. It looks a lttle nicer under the hood now. Couple quick pics, hopefully I'll have vids soon.

Not yet. Put about 100 miles on it since the weekend. Im gonna try to get a quick vid this weekend(gotta make sure the tune is still good) . I put a ps pump on while it was apart and the new one screams louder than the old one(yes I bled it and all) so I've been afraid it might lock up on me if I take the rpms up too high

It's been a while since I've done anything, but this week was my spring break, and I have accomplished something. I added a water/meth kit from Rodney at Alcohol Injection Systems. I moved my ignition box to inside the fenderwell, along with my HID ballast to get rid of the rat nest of wiring I had where the tank is now.... looks much better imo. I am also going to Rockingham Saturday, and will hopefully have some video along with 1/4 mile timeslips :chacha: Here's a few pics of the install.

I was, but it was 60 bucks and it was the week I ordered my water/meth kit. I figured for $60 I can go to the dragstrip almost 3 times and get some actual numbers on what the car runs, I'm kicking around putting it on the dyno now that I have the water/meth and tuning it properly. It's pricey though...

Well, went to Rockingham, got some times. Not quite the ET I was hoping for, but I think with the MPH I was running I could be into the 11's.... My best run was a 12.58 @ 113.33 mph. It also happened to be against a 4th generation turbo supra lol. I knew I was gonna "lose" but I was grinning the whole time, it's just a rare car I enjoy seeing and I got to watch it pass me not too quickly lol. My first run was 13.01 at 111.8 mph, so I dropped half a second with only a 1mph gain. Also saw some other nice cars, including a 9 second terminator cobra and a brand new 2011 5.0 vs. a fox that almost lost it on a wheelie. Those are on my account if you look through my uploads on youtube(username is 302f150). I had some traction issues initally, got those worked out, started bumping timing up, got up to 26 degrees in boost and I blew a coupler off just before the 1000' mark. Luckily I told the track guys, they found it, I bolted it back up and went home a while later lmao. On that run I crossed the line at 111.64 mph, and my 1000 foot time was almost a full second slower than my previous runs, so it might've been a really low 12's run. The water meth kit worked beautifully, my intake temps were cooler at the end of a run than when I staged lol. All in all it was a pretty fun day, and I don't think the car did too bad for a daily driven car that belongs to a broke college student lol.

I want that to be one of my next mode. I have 3.73's with 28" tires. I know lots of guys recommend 3.27's, but with what size tire?

looking good man. looks like its running good too. from what you wrote i thought the supra was gonna beat you but it was pretty close at the end and it looks like you got him in the 60 foot.

Lol, thanks. I actually found out a lot more on that supra. 711whp running 30 psi boost and c16. He was running 28 psi that at I ran him, doesn't hurt my feelings at all. Here is a link to his youtube, the last race in this vid.is the one against me.
