    ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!!! :chacha: :2thumbs: :cheers: :bow: :D :D

    its running!!!!! it feels so good to finally hear it breath air! this project has been going on almost 2 years i think.. and its really nice to hear the motor run!50psi oil pressure,nothing exploded lol. everything went well.. ive got a small water leak at the electric water pump (i dont think i put sealant on the threads of the lower hose end). i converted the carb to e85 the other day and it works perfectly. the e85 really reminds me of methanol with just a hint of gas! my garage smells like corn lol. it was cool it fired right up and idled smooth. id like to thank everyone here thats helped me and ill get some video up asap. the 4 inch open downpipe isnt that loud and really sounds cool!!!!!

    My buddy found a 4.3 today in a small truck with a tourqer 2 intake, headers, roller rockers and a few other goodies in the junk yard...

    If only some one had some use for it... I know the comp cams roller rockers are the same as 350 but obviously thats a few short for that aplication.... same with the intake...

    i'm nust now finding this thread and its a good read! we've exhacxnaged a few emails in ther past on various 4.3 subjects. i'd like to pic your brain on a few more, specifically the specs on the turbo and how your liking it

    Guess your gonna need a custom hood with like a 4 in cowl or something... :2thumbs: Id shit my pants if I looked over at a stop light and saw the bonnet stick up from the engine....

    well its funny you say that because i have 1 of 2 options.. cut my factory steel hood with the hole as tight as possible or a custom cowl scoop/8inch cowl bonded onto my flat glass hood i have. im probably going to make the hood scoop myself. its going to help with the air cleaner setup.

    ive got a small video of the open 4 inch downpipe but i cant get it to play correctly. the audio is messed up. im going to try and fix it and repost later :bang:

    i cant get the video converted to mpeg or avi.. its pissing me off! lol if anyone can convert this thing and/or post it that would be great. where do i email this thing? :D

    I have watched this build first hand (Since Shoebox and I work together) and I am so happy to see it coming to fruition for you buddy. I saw the pic you sent to my phone but they did not do the chopped hood justice! Looks REALLY good and I can hardly wait to go for a ride! And yes, it will be faster than anything that "other guy" has ever had :cheers: :cheers: :cheers:
