    Thank you. It is a 92 ish flat tappet engine out of a van/truck.

    stock pistons and such? as i thought the flat tappet 351's had cast pistons and the 351 roller motors had hyper pistons, maybe you or someone can tell me?

    a hyper is still technically a cast piston. i really couldn't tell you what they are. i aint scared either way! last setup made 535 wheel with cast pistons...

    in my opinion its all in the tune...

    It runs as of tonight! Need to bolt the front end back on and figure out why the alternator isn't charging...but after that I will be ready for some tuning!

    Congrats on the fire up.

    As for the charging .. check simple things first. Connections, grounds, pinched wire.

    Been playing with the car and was able to make one shakedown pass last weekend. It went 11.44@126 launching on no boost. Max boost was 18psi and timing was 15 deg at peak torque. It was about 90 deg outside.

    Overall I'm very happy with the perfomance for a first pass considering this thing has E7 heads and a stock flat tappet truck cam.

    megasquirt 1 v2.2 with ms1-extra code. 96lb/hr injectors and twin 255lph pumps in the tank. E85 for fuel.
