UPDATE...intercooler plumbing is complete. Not ideal but this is all I could do with what I have to work with. I would prefer a vertical flow core with both inlet and outlet on the passenger side. Or a tubular K member and driver side mount turbo with the horizontal flow cooler. This should still work fine though.

I also figured out that I can dye these ugly ass blue couplers with clothing dye in boiling water! The test piece came out great.

Thanks. I was using a Megaquirt 1 on the 302 and be using it again on the 351. Yes I also did the instant center brackets.

    Best regards,

Exhaust progress. Single 3.5" downpipe. Will be splitting into dual 2.5" with Dynomax Ultraflow muffs and LX style tails.

I haven't made much forward progress but I have been playing around with wheels and tires.

I am trying to determine who's 275/60 I want to order. Below its sitting on a used set of Goodyears which seem to be the largest of the 275's that I have seen. I think I will end up with Hoosiers or Mickeys as they tend to run a bit smaller and I would like to drop the rear ride height a bit.

Opinions on rear tires between the Goodyear, M/T, or Hoosier?

I believe M/T has a new 275 out but I don't know how physically large it is compared to the others. Anyone seen them on a car yet?

Here are some photos of my widened rear Convo Pros. Centerline doesn't offer a 15 x 10 4 lug wheel with 6.5" of backspace.

    Now I have them!

The 275/60 hoosiers are bigger than the 275 M/T's - I have pics up of them on a 15x10 w/ 6.5bs in my build on the last page or second to last page they are big...

The clash between the rusty bottom of car and your awesomely crafted parts is pretty neat.

I plan on using the Goodyear SS drag radials. Like the skills and setup. Always looking for ideas for my own 351 build.

    SWEET BUILD. :welder: :2thumbs:
I hope you're going to leave the body just like it is. Are the tailpipes going to go up over the axle or underneath? Looks like it'd be too tight with the rear sway bar. Maybe its just the pic.. Keep diggin!

    Thanks!

I am planning on running the tailpipes underneath the axle. I may just put dumps on it for the time being as its getting nice outside and I am anxious to get it running!

And I forgot to mention I have no interest in changing the appearance of the body!

My new car has an over the axle ARB so I was thinking the same about tailpipes under the axle. Its a nitrous car with 3" bullets on the headers, pretty obnoxious.. Id like to see how yours come out...

Well I decided to push forward and build the LX tailpipes instead of taking the easy way out and putting dumps on it. I got the first one tacked up tonight. I will end up with around 3.0" of suspension rebound. I feel this will be more than enough.

    Here are the photos:
