A s480 should bolt in place of the s465 except for the down pipe. If you go with a 96mm turbine on the 480, I believe the down pipe flange moves a little. It's pretty common to use meth injection pre, and post turbo without an intercooler. It's supposed to help the efficiency as well. I personally would put an intercooler on it if not running e85 (probably would even with e85)

Along with what was said above, cooling the compressor wheel and housing will make the air denser and can help with the efficiency of your turbo a little as well. Pre and post turbo would be the right way to do it.

Can anyone verify if any other S400’s have the same flange layout as my S465?

I think a gas carb is better at reducing charge temps than most realize. And even better if running E85. This guys video shows a routine 50% temp drop on E85. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BzvyXGwOMcw

    I
won’t be running meth injection until I see how it does and maybe bigger compressor wheel if need be.

Just search around on here and you'll see a few successful setups, but most have a ton of issues because of how hot the incoming air is and how hard it is to tune with methanol saturated air entering a carb where fuel needs to be absorbed into the air charge. Just a lot of work to avoid a couple hundred bucks worth of ebay intercooler and piping. It was big about 10 to 15 years ago, but now most put them together with an aa or aw intercooler. In your case, an aw in the inner fenderwell would work well. Look up Mikey's build, he stuck on in a fox body inner fenderwell.

Thanks, I’ll look up Mikeys build.
I won’t be running Meth. If need be I’ll run E85
    Or a better suited compressor.

Nice setup and great start. I know first hand how tight those bays are.
Have had 68 since 83. Wife's hs car.
Wanted to but could never pull the cord to add turbo. Her factory color scheme was unusual with light blue, white interior and white vinyl top. 20200424_152908.jpg #ad
