    Coils mounted
    Fuel injector harness made
    Junk yard scores for connectors
    Crank sensor bracket made
Cylinder Head Temperature sensor drilled and tapped in mock up engine...no break through...should work for "real" engine
Right turbo up pipe tacked together....not sure that I like the turbo that high up....but in need room for the wastegate so it doesnt hit the valve cover.

I need to order injectors/pump/regulator as well as the spacers for the tunnel ram for locating the injectors...and a host of other small stuff.

ordered the vast majority of the rest of the parts:

    80 lb shorty deka injectors
    AEM 380 lph inline pump
    aeromotive fuel regulator
    fuel rail stock
    tunnel ram spacers

The only item im not completely clear on will be a bonnet for the carbs/throttle bodies....Id like to start with a steel air cleaner housing with the 9 7/8" carb centers....but I cannot find one...most dual carb set ups dont list the important center to center distance in the descriptions.

    I need to get:
    fuel filters
    air filters
    fuel plumbing
    IC water plumbing
cut to fit plug wires for the ls coils with 90* boots on the coil end
    fuel gauge
    boost gauge

Pics for completed hotside...I plan on adding some braces

    1. From the manifold exit flange to the turbine inlet flange
    2. From the manifold exit flange to the wastegate inlet flange
    3. from the back of the cylinder heads up to the "downpipes"

The angle of the "downpipes" is intentional so they should be level with the water and the ends should be flush with the back of the transom when it is in the boat.

Also, the third pic is a rough representation of my plan for making the carb/throttle body bonnet.

I also made the ignition coils' harness.

    Finished:
    carb hat
    braces for the turbos
made a water manifold on top of the exhaust adapters plate to get the water out
    drilled the fuel rails
drilled the injector holes in the spacers
    mounted the fuel rails
welded the trigger wheel to the crank spacer

    Need to:
    plumb fuel system
install crank trigger wheel on engine
drill CHT sensor hole on engine
    mount and wire the microsquirt
    mount and wire the wideband
    mount intercooler
install turbo piping on engine in boat

Very cool build! In for huge rooster tails. Im curious to see how the coil on plug and mega squirt work out on this engine. Ive searched and have not seen anyone do a multi coil setup on a 385 ford. Im currently building a turbo 460 myself. Looking forward to more progress!

well...I didnt get it done in time...riser flanges warped when I welded them and I had to have them machined. So I went to the races anyway to watch and booze it up with friends. Attached are some pics of the set up in the boat. I need to:

    -make charge pipes
    -plumb water side of intercooler
-pick up weldments from the machine shop from being surfaced
    -flush fuel systemj
-load firmware and my first shot in the dark at a tune
    -try to start

starting to sound like a broken record here.....didnt get it running yet.

    I did finish:
    -charge pipes
-carb hat opening (took way longer than expected!)
-drilled manifold pressure ports in the tunnel ram spacers (what carbs dont have vacuum ports?!...wtf...lol)
-routed the few vacuum lines needed
    - got the manifold adapters from the machine shop
    - made turbo oil lines

    Things I need to do:
    -flush fuel system
    -verify no fuel leaks
    -fit battery in under intercooler
-plumb water lines for engine/intercooler/exhaust manifolds
    -load firmware onto Microsquirt
    -check cranking timing
    -fire that mother up

Well....I dunked it in the drink on Sunday. Started right up. Got it half ass tuned so I could get it on plane and run around. I was having issues with Tunerstudio freezing. I wanted to just cruise around and give it a good shake down run anyway...ran about a total of 15-20 miles...parked it at a swimming spot...partied, had fun....and cruised home...no start up issues...just some accel enrichment issues when bouncing on waves. But that is to be expected given I haven touched that yet.

I did dip into it enough to start to spool the turbos.....they sound mean right over your shoulder..lol
