I know all set-ups are different, My blow through, junkyard 302 has a 650 dp the pvcr's are drilled to .078 and I run 68-71 jets a 2.5 pv amd 24 deg. total, 16 initial and 8 mech. with and afr of 11.6 across the board and thats with 18psi. Seems the jetting is kinda up there as well as the base fuel press., I lowered my base from 7psi to 5psi and it lowered my overall afr from 10.0 to 11.6. Plus you should kill some of that gear.
    Just my .02

You want that thing to respond? Run octane (like 110) and leave the timing in.

On good octane, when my car was S/C, I've always run 28 degrees timing with cast iron heads and no intercooler. Gas was C-16.

I dont think that cam will help too much with the performer heads. Just throw an F303 cam in it and be done.

Idel air mixture screws is what leans a motor out on the idle circuit.. That and how far you have the throttle blades open... My car was @ 11.5 during idle when I bought the car and now it is at 14.0 just by adjusting the idle mixture screw.. Just go slow and keep watching the wideband..

    Good luck..
