I have tried reading and learning these new xona rotor turbos.... I hear these are the next best thing coming?? Anyone have any dealings with these turbos? Are they as good as I am hearing? Are they just over hyped?

They have their place, mainly drag racing where a turbo can be pushed to its limit, and spool up doesn't matter.

Their uhf turbine isn't new technology, it was explored in the 60s by gas turbine companies, but it is new to the turbo world.

While clipping every other blade to reduce inertia and weight sounds great, what they don't tell you is that it is the area of the turbine that is responsible for extracting the power needed for spooling.
Also, it would be required that the normal turbine would be running in choke (aka maxxed out) to benefit from this. USUALLY, most people run small a/r housings on the turbos so the housing chokes, meaning the turbine never does.

What is good about their turbo is they use GMN bearings, which are top quality bearings. I've had some custom made myself and are phenomenal.
The stainless steel center housing is great for resisting heat soak, and won't rust up on you. And the fully wrapped water jacket is a great detail.
