will a mild backfire hurt a c&s carb?

    as the title implies, I was attempting to start my new build and timing was not perfect. I got a pretty good "spit" back through the carb while cranking. (not a bad backfire or pop, just a good spit) will this hurt the BRPV's in this carb or anything else? just making sure, thanks in advance!

    It can. But when you get it idling you'll know if you popped one of them.
