Hello, I am thinking about turbocharging my 04 Yukon. new to turbos. after doing some research and messing around with a spread sheet, I have come up with

    (HP goal 500 crank shaft)

    for twins,
    GT2560R 60mm 60trim. 6A/R
    GT2859R 59.9mm 56 trim .42A/R
    GT2860R 60mm 55trim .42A/R

    for single
    GTX3076R 76mm 58trim .7A/R
    GTX3576R 76mm 58trim .7A/R
    GT3582R 82mm 56 trim .7A/R

    questions:
turbo selection ?what do you think?
transmission 4l60e, probably not the best, I had it rebuilt 3 yrs ago(stock) what HP can it handle?
will stock fuel pump work for this HP level?
    how about stock injectors?
also I would like to tune it(have to learn how) with stock ecu and maybe HPTuners??

my goal is to increase power but not have to do a ton of drivetrain mods, since this is a DD, also pleasure towing

I have more questions, but I also have more research to do

    thanks in advance

I vote cheapy chicomm ebay 66mm single t4 for what your doing.
    you'll need injectors
    fuel pump is a must
hp will do a fine job.
the 60e is gonna explode at some point regardless. So I vote you rock it till it dies.

All of those are relatively small turbos. If you're dead set on those, I vote twin 2860s.

That 4l60e won't survive forever especially with the heavy weight of that truck & all the torque that the engine will make with a turbo.

GT4202 so when you want more it is a turn of a knob away. Let it breathe on the exhaust side. Everything you posted is looking at the intake and power goals. Unlike a supercharger there is two sides to the turbo intake and exhaust. Both need to be considered when selecting a turbo.

yeah, I will look at the GT4202. does anybody have any idea how big the stock injectors are for a 5.3 (2004)?
    thanks for the responses

I think you're getting confused by Garrett's naming convention. A GT3076 is not a 76mm turbo, it's a 57mm, and waaaaaaaaaaay too small for a 5.3L. Two of those on a 5.3 is badass, but those are what guys run on 2.0L 4cyl as singles. Get a properly sized turbo, and the whole thing will run better. That GT4202 mentioned would be real nice for you as a single with your goals.
