I've got 2 turbine housings to use on my s369sxe, a .8 a/r t3 twin volute or a 1.0 a/r t4 twin volute. Engine is a real pooch, 322ci SBM, 7.5:1 c/r, 218/228 @.050 276/286 advertised .441 lift 114 lsa 109 icl, manifolds flipped forwards, torker 2 340 intake, 650cfm blow through carb, 4 speed, 3.9 gears, 3300lb car. Yes, an absolute horrid build but it's all on spare parts. I'm just not sure what turbine housing to use. I bet the t3 will spool quick but might be restrictive and the t4 would be a bit laggy. Any input? Any other specs needed?

    Geez that compression is horrible.
That said, No smaller than a T4 for a single turbo V8.

p.p.s. you're gonna want to change those gears out. Find some 3.2-3.5 cogs.

Yes, it's a spare parts build. Pistons are .095 down and running 70cc open chamber heads. Hah. Ok, I'll run. The t4. I will say that the t3 housing on that turbo made 700+ hp on a 5.9 cummins at around 4300rpms. If it was making that power why wouldn't it work on a 5.3 litre motor spinning a max of maybe 5500?

Diesel engines and gasoline engines behave differently. Diesel 5.9l is designed to handle a lot of exhaust pressure: the cam timing, valve springs, solid lifters and nature of the fuel will tolerate a much more restrictive exhaust. It's also a much more robustly built engine overall, boost early in the range isn't going to rattle a diesel to death, it will a spare parts mopar.

That's reasonable. I will be using the t4 housing then. Do you think it's still too tight with it being a 1.0?
