Have any boat guys seen one

    Have you boat guys ever seen one of these crank mounted pumps? It bolt to the front of the water pump not the crank.

    Hey don't feel bad i stick my head in here from time to time. Owned a few boats myself but never a bad ass turbo boat, would like to though but running out of room and time for another toy.

    Isn't that a cam drive pump ?
    I can't tell from the pic real good.

    Most V drives have cam drive water pumps.

    I don't know what it really goes on but they use it for an intercooler pump on a mustang 4.6 it bolts to the water pump pully.

    I seen one of those a friend had a old boat (1976)that he put a sbc in it and used that pump to suck water from the bottom of the boat it was first time seeing one.

    This is where it's nice to have a jet boat. Water cooling to anything on or in the motor isn't a problem, just regulating the pressure the pump can deliver.
