what kind of connecting rods do you guys run?

    i was considering using a set of used carrillos,any advice on this?i also have considered using a set of new lunati billet rods.anyone have any expierence with these?what kind of rods are you guys running?at what hp level and rpm?

    Oliver 5.4's 600 to 800 h.p 6.500 rpm.330 Dart..
    The Olivers and C.P pistons cost more than a 5Ltr efi down here...

    Stock - It made 700 rwhp for quite a while :cool:

    eagle h-beam w L-19 bolts, 7k rpm, about 1k hp.

    dang!1000 horsies?eagle rods,and 7000 rpm?thats pretty dang good!oliver seems to be the most popular.

    We run Eagle rods in a friends honda.

    10500 RPM's, 690 WHP :) They will take a lot of abuse with the bigger rod bolts.

    Oliver billet are going in my modular shortblock, as soon as they finish making the darn things!

    Scat H-beam with L-19 bolts. Hopping for 1,300+ HP.

    DSS Forged I beam rods, with a long rod 5.4" rod on a 3.0 crank!

    Probe told me 8,000 rpm and a 1k h.p. on their h-beams.

    6.320 Carrillo H beam with CARR bolts :) Will take as much hp as a t-80 will throw at them.. 900+

    I had a set of Carrillo's in a turbo SBF at over 1900 HP for 4 seasons. That was with the heavy speedway caps and the CARR bolt option. Made a change in that combo, smaller crankshaft, and switched to GRP billet aluminum rods. I use Carillo's for steel applications and GRP for aluminum. BME makes a really good aluminum rod as well.
