msd 7531 on the street

    i hear the 7531 can overheat running on a street car, what to use may be dig 6 or mallory one which may help with tunning to get her down the track it is a 408 tt gt3582 r lge ex 20 lbs max power glide 26/10 tyres thanks

    i dont have one, but maybe some pc fans to keep it cool? If you knew how hot is too hot you could attach a small thermistor on the case to operate the fans.

    I bought some 12V computer fans of Ebay and made an aluminum bracket to mount them to so they blow directly on the cooling fins. The box is mounted inside the glovebox. Street driven regularly with no issues so far 2 years.

    7531 with 8251 coil . No issues at all ............. street driven daily .
