I received my Cam Motion "low-lash" solid roller last week. I noticed that the spec sheet doesn't include recommended valve spring specs, so I was curious if I'd be okay using the springs that come with Victor Jr. heads (#77199).

I emailed Edelbrock tech for the specs on the springs and this is what they sent:
    - 1.550" diameter springs
    - Max valve lift is .670" (roller)
    - Installed height 1.900"
    - 1.900" = 210lbs (seat)
    - 1.300" = 490lbs (open)

My cam specs @ .050 are:
    - Duration (intake/exaust): 238/232
    - Lift (intake/exaust) .598/.593
    - Lobe Center Separation: 114
    - Intake Centerline: 110
    - Comments: HOT LASH .010

I'll also be using Jesel Sportsman Series shaft rockers, and Comp Cams "Super Roller" lifters.

    Thanks in advance!

I would give Terry a call at Cam Motion and get an idea what they suggest for springs. In my not very professional opinion, it sounds like the springs you have will probably work as long as they are new and actually spec out to what Edelbrock says.

How much was that cam? PM me if you mind posting it. If I change my cam I want a low lash for less noise.

We generally try to run about 220 on the seat with similar cammotion cams. I think you'll be fine.
