how much boost can i push out of Novi 1000 or a V1-A with it still being reliable. and how much boost u think i need to have to get like 450 hp out of a 351w with that s/c? i really appreciate any feedback. thnx! all i have on the 351w is gt40 cast iron heads, gt40 upper and lower intake , e-cam and 1.72 rr's, 1 3/4 long tube headers

 

You really might want to go with the Novi 2K instead of the Novi 1k on a 351.

It probably wouldn't take but 6 psi to make 450 hp in a 351.
The A trim would do it no problem.

Slap it on and go.

Just pay attention to your fuel system and get it tuned on a wide band O2 machine.

well, i agree to a point, 6 psi on a good 351w with decent heads,should make around 450 fwhp no sweat.but getting a lil ole 1000 to make 6 psi on that many cubic inches might be pushing it kinda hard, but what do i know?:shrug:

For $2000 i would fine someone selling a 2000 or s-trim kit used and bolt it on. More than likely the unit will be in good shape and if its not rebuilding the headunit isn't too expensive. With one of those one there i feel that the car would be more reliable because the blower won't have to work its ass off to make the power level you want. I think a s-trim on that motor with 9psi would almost make 475rwhp and be reliable as a stocker (just be sure you have enough fuel and tuned on a wide-band like Mike suggested.

we can do some fabrication. it helps since my dad owns a body shop . its EFI hydrualic roller .. got a polished gt40 upper and lower intake...its taking place of my 302 that just passed

 

gonna get a s-trim or novi 2000 now...will have enuff cash..how much boost will i need then with that supercharger??
