Just starting my '68 Charger 383 twin turbo project. I have a fresh but mostly stock '68 383, 8 1/2 :1 pistons, would like to change out the cam and use a 750 blowthru carb. I would be happy with 500 HP. I would like a driveable street car with some gas pedal when needed. Looking thru many turbo forums I see turbos from HX35 and HX40 Cummins turbos to Chinese turbos on eBay. I'm really lost here.

I think I have the exhaust manifold figured out and I would put the turbos in front of the engine.

    What's your budget for turbos?

Well less is always better, but hoping for 300 - 500.

I have a hard time believing 300-500 will get you a twin turbo setup.

    No, that's per turbo.

Just a tad over your budget, but a pair of Borg warner s200sx's would work. If your on a tight budget why not a single? I am using twin s256's , with a 1.22 A/R, on my daily, street only, small cammed 440. For your low power goals they would work well, or even a step smaller on the A/R.

Just a quick search for s200sx I found THM Motorsports with that BorgWarner Airworks turbocharger under $200.00. Does that sound right? Others are in the $500 to $600 range.

Good luck with your build. Have a long drawn out build going myself that has slowed to an almost halt lately.
