So my C5 has been down for about a year now. Started swapping from heavy nitrous to twin turbo but ended up being medically retired from the Army and moving across the country in the middle of the build...This too has taken a life of its own....what was going to be a simple "pull the nitrous off, put the twin turbo kit and new injectors and another pump on" turned into:
New cam / springs / lifters
New coated rod / main / cam bearings
New tool steel wrist pins (and the necessary rebalance)
BIG upgrade to the fuel system
Swap to a LQ4 block and new ARP2000 head studs
    Power Steering Cooler delete
    Front sway bar delete
    Air Bag steering wheel delete
    Adding an oil cooler
    Specs on the build:
    402 LQ4 11.2:1 compression
Wiseco Pistons with tool steel wrist pins, Callies Compstar crank and rods
    ARP everything
CNC LS3 heads with BTR .660 Platinum springs
    Custom BTR cam
    Holley High Ram
    Fuel Injector Clinic 1650s
Single Walbro 450 in-tank pump (will be twin at a later date)
External Magnafuel 4303 on a boost reference switch
    Return Style fuel system
Huron Speed C5 Twin Turbo Kit with CTS-V AC conversion - Huron Speed sponsored me on this kit
    321 stainless hotside
    4.5" Bell intercooler
    Twin Precision 6766 CEAs .96 A/R
I am shooting for 8.90 with a manual trans....This is going to be a tall order and will be hard, but the car will be capable.
Current Personal best for this car is 10.89 @ 132 1.64 60' on a 100 shot with a weak / slow ramp - was still tuning it

    Personal Best NA was 11.0 @ 130 1.53 60'

The Monster Level 3 clutch was surprisingly worn. after many passes and lots of 1.5 / 1.6 60' times it never gave me a reason to question it.

Have the hotside all mocked up, time to send the block to the body shop to get painted.

Have you calculated how much wheel horsepower to run 8.90s?

The car was originally a NA and NA+spray. In order for me to lower the compression anymore I would need new pistons or new heads. on e85 11.2 will be fine. will help me spool quicker too haha.

According to the calculators on Wallace Racing I will need about 950hp (unsure if whp or crank hp). I am shooting for a few hundred more than needed due to the manual trans.

Cool...ive run a few higher compression combos on E85 with success....

I live in the Oshkosh area so if you ever intend on going to WIR (which sucks) or Union Grove let me know.

That is an awesome looking kit, was it done custom or was it a shelf item?

Kind of both. I got the kit as a prototype kit from Huron Speed. They were looking to bring it to market and needed feedback. I also have another down pipe and waste gate pipe - the newest version - that is out for coating.

Most of the horsepower calculators I've seen are for wheel horsepower then you add 18 to 20% to get flywheel horsepower,

Getting pretty frustrating....my 2nd Holley High Ram showed up today....and just like the 1st one the base is not machined properly and the plenum cover does not fit right as a result....

Could you give the bung to bung measurement of the Hi Ram injectors. Need to see if the fuel rails would work on a different application.
