I presume not as surely that wouldnt work (ie one bank would be restricted in comparison) and thats just a slightly odd shape single scroll housing, but I thought id ask.

Pretty badass wastegate outlets too :2thumbs:

To be fair, that did spring to mind for me, but not sure why they'd do that.

Interesting if anyone did know the deal with why it looks like it does.

Its a 1982 cosworth indy car engine IIRC

is there a pic of the turbine inlet where the exhuast meets?

people think a twin a scroll turbo is just a divided exhaust housing with one sized turbine. a TRUE twin scroll has a smaller side. There should be a sort of valve looking inlet for the turbine that would look weird on a normal turbo. but yeah that just looks like a twin scroll with two largely different sized scrolls.

Seems to be some confusion on what people consider a twin scroll really is. there are two kinds of twin scrolls
    1. a normal divided turbine inlet with a single sized turbine (this kind is what most people know of)
    and
    2. what some car makers have such as mazda where the turbine has two sizes and is also split housing. this kind is also used in some racing applications (F1 use to have some, im not sure about now)

    here is another one
