New paint job and body work (same color).
Get the car to hook harder with new Tokico adjustable shocks and adjusting Wolfe bar properly.
Re-tune with possibly more boost.
Low 9's is in the near future with traction, possible 8.99 ET with '˜some' more power would be a bonus!!
DONE!
Background:
I bought the car on April Fool's Day of '96, did a few things and got it running low 14's with the basics. After a couple years, I decided turbo was the way to go. It was different and I had heard of some people running hard with them. And, after seeing and hearing 'Turbo-Don's' blue Mustang at Atco rip off an insane pass, I had to have that same performing/sounding setup. I got the TTI street kit with the T-04b turbo, slapped it on along with Canfield heads, a Victor 5.0 EFI intake, and Accel Gen 6 DFI. The car went 10.81 @ 125.98. I was completely shocked, as this was WAY quicker than my goal was (to bust into the 11's). Since then, I've gotten the 'Boost-Bug' in a major way!! Running low 10's was great for one pass but then I wanted more when my 2nd pass felt slow and I had ran a faster time. My 1st 9-second run was last year with the race kit, and that was a blast. Now, with the new TFS heads and Gen 7 computer, the car is running exactly how I wanted it to for years; smoother, cleaner, and very powerful. But, hopefully this is the end of messing with the car and the beginning of actually enjoying it more and more. Going for my NHRA license is the 1st step into that new beginning. Turbocharged setups have come a long way since I got into it in '99, and turbocharged Mustangs have come an even longer way. I'm glad that over the years people have helped me out, and I've been able to help others out. My personal friends have assisted me with physically setting the car up, thank you! Job and Job Jr., enough said, thank you! Trent has setup a GREAT website here, it's chock full of good turbo info, and a good bunch of guys. And some great Turbo-Drama as well! Thank you as well, Trent and everyone online! Oh, and a very special thanks to my soon-to-be wife, Rachel, for not killing me after I've spent hours and hours in my 2nd home (the garage) wrenching, cutting, welding, swearing, etc. ILY babe! Good luck to all my turbo-friends! And for all you non-turbo guys, ahh, you're okay too.
