I'm considering going to a smaller turbo. I ran this for one year. Around 15 passes and 200 street miles. Here is the description from the website....
Asking $1500 or would trade for the right 76mm and cash.

Turbonetics Billet CUSTOM Y2K 88/101 Turbo

This turbo has all the bells and whistles. Billet and ball bearing. t6 turbine housing. A batch of these custom turbos was made to compete in 88mm class racing. We ordered a bunch of these identical turbos to get this kind of pricing. This turbo is the top of the heap for 88's. Large 101mm turbine wheel (112mm inducer) to keep back pressure low.

A removable bell mouth inlet is included for track use; pop it off to easily run an air filter on the street. At 47 pounds, this turbo packs a lot of punch for its size.

. With large gains in efficiency and air flow in this size range, we strongly recommend using forged billet HP-C wheels for all serious racing. With Ceramic Ball Bearing systems, ASME bell compressor inlet, these turbos are ready to deliver huge horsepower and big boost - exactly what extreme race applications need.

HPC forged billet aluminum compressor wheel

    Enhanced Map Porting

    Patented ceramic ball bearing design

    F1-series 713C inconel turbine wheel

    Compressor Wheel: HPC-88 (88mm)

Compressor Housing: ASME bell compressor inlet

    Turbine Wheel: F1-101 (101mm)

    Turbine Housing: T6 1.23 A/R with V-Band (4.5" ID, 5.15" OD )

I running this EXACT turbo on my 414sbf setup. Spools up quick and I made 1134rwhp on 18psi. Haven't run high boost because the car is only cert. for 8.50's... This is a GREAT deal for someone.

Thanks. I think I've got to the bottom of the issue I had with spooling it up. More timing and a brake!

i'm interested in some details. What do you launch at?
What kind of RPM do you run the 414 up to and do you know what kind of back pressure you are seeing?

    I shift at 6500rpms. On radials I leave at 3800rpms and 8psi. I want to try a 29.5w tire but haven't yet.

I'm getting close to where you're at then. Last weekend I tried out my transbrake and made 6# @3500. Based off of my logs I need about 8# on launch and it should move out better.

Big difference with the 2psi. I blow off the tires any more than 8psi.

Can't really give you a set rpm at the traps. I am usually off of it before the line. I was at 6000 when I ran the lone 8.20 at 168mph. I was told to slow it down...lol. I KNOW the car will run well into the 7's but I am not spending the money to update my car to 7.50's. This is a 64 Falcon wagon BTW...

Midevil1, I'm going to pick up the 88/101 turbo that's for sale and have a few questions about your combo. Is there a chance you can pm me so I can get in touch with you?

Thanks. That was with a 369" small block olds. With a 125 shot it ran the best of 9.67 at 136...on a good track it would 60' a 1.24 .

BTW, I can't PM because I'm a newbie. I was curious about some details on your combo. My new engine is a 418" small block Olds running a full sequential MS3-Pro EFI setup with 160 lb Billet Atomizer injectors. I had it on the dyno and made some pulls before I put the turbo on. Running E85 it made 619hp @ 6100 (and climbing) and 539 lb-ft of torque at 5300. It would have made more power (we think closer to 650hp) at a about 6800-7000 rpm but I had some ignition issues and it was starting to break up. It is at 10:6:1 compression, I'm really curious abut your tune (timing and AFR) for both launch and down track.
