Im new in turbo world.
I have a question.
Watt is the diference betwin a garret 1849v and a garret 1852v turbochargers?
My project is to mount one one of this turbos on a 2.5l 4d56 mitsubichi diesel engine.

I belive it is exhaust ratio that is differant ... the 49v will spool sooner but power will fall off faster .. the 52v will spool later but pull farther up the rpm band .... both are tiny for a single turbo setup ... but on a diesel u need a early spooling turbo. . What is ur power band? Or max rpm

The max rpm for this engine is 4500rpm.
I like to have fast spooning turbo to have power on low rpm.
But my concern is that the 49v will not have enouf exsust flow for the engine.
Watt do you think?

Might have to find a compressor map for the turbo... run it and see ...

I think a gt18 will be to small .. i think a gt22 would be perfect on a 2.5l. I had a gt25 on a 2.0l and it pulled to 5500rpm
