SBF 302 timing

    100% stock shortblock down to rod bolts.
    alum heads
    208/216 XE cam .550 (xe258)
    gt45
    10psi or less, ~450rwhp
    made 300rwhp @ 6200 before the valve train became pissy. 32* timing total netted the most power.
    drop 2* of spark per psi at whatever rpm boost starts building?
    want to make sure I pulled enough.

    Stock WOT timing would be 26*. I would start at 18* and sneak up on it from there.

    what heads do you have? 2* per psi is pretty significant, thats 20 degrees out from 32 at only 10psi!!!

    10psi on stock e7s i usually shoot about 20 degrees to them

    10psi on a set of AFR's that take 36, I usually shoot about 24 to them

    if you MBT out at 32 then I'd probably shoot about 22 to it or so

    Mbt was 32 na.
    I used wes ratcliff's spark table as reference. 16* when i get over 100% ve to be safe.
    Wastegate needs one spring removed, it put out 16psi when i let out. 3300rpm its starting to make pressure... 4k its an easy 10psi. 4500 its going into orbit.
