    Hi guys

    I have a BS3 system part# BS3-004-014
    (LS1 w/trans control)

My question is can it be tuned to pull timing
if IAT sensor temps go to high dew to a water/meth
    failer.

    A buddy of mine has a 03 Mach1 with a Procharger.
He cut the IAT wires that where in the mass air meter
harness and in stalled a standalone IAT sensor down stream of the meter so he wouldn't be spraying water/meth through the meter and the guy doing the tuning setup the timing and fuel map to go 'safe'
if something happened to the water/meth using
the IAT temp readings to do this.

Can this be done with the BS3.
I have the BS3 software on my laptop and the only
air temp map I can find looks like it's for cold start/ warm up.

I don't have my ride ready yet and the BS3 is still in the box.

I'm pretty sure it does. Why not just call BigStuff3 Tech support to find out? 248 732 2846

I'll call them tomorrow, I was thinking that an email would take less of there time.

I was hoping someone on here had some experience doing this with the BS3.

I hear ya man, honestly I doubt BS3 has such a failsafe built in but I could be wrong. Best bet is to contact the maker .

Really. Reading IAT's is such a standard feature for engine management units.

Reading them is one thing but tuning with them for PWR is another.

Reading then is one thing but tuning for PWR is another

What other EFI brands will allow this that some one has done this with not herd about or think they know.

If so post a screen shot of the fuel/time tables vs IAT.

yeah you can have it pull timing if the IAT's get too high if the meth fails you....my tuner will be doing this, ill report back next week after the tune....

The FAST XFI can do that. Has a "spark offset vs air inlet temp" table and a "fuel enrichment vs air inlet temp" table. You can pull spark or fatten it up.

I guess that's one advantage of the Fast XFI. :bang:

But My BS3 has that trans control in the same box.

    But I won't a spark/fuel vs IAT table to. :'(

I would think that most if not all tuners could do this. I know that the PMS, AEM, and Autronic can do this. I do not think it is a great idea unless you can tune it for different weather (tune yourself) or you can do it by rpm and loads (Autronic)so it will not affect the P/T and idle tune.
