Damn, that's a big turbo for a little 2400cc engine! How high does it rev?

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments!!! :D

The motor ervs to 8 thousand rpms and runs 8.5 compression.

We have also tested the 96mm turbine wheel with a 1.32 housing and we can spool it no problem!!!

Thats actually our next upgrade ;)

I am sure the methonal helps! I actually thought it would be higher compression even with boost. Moost of the na guys running methanol are in the 14:1+ range!

    Methanol does help a ton!!!

Were experimenting with an 11.1 setup and also just finished a 12.1 motor to play with.

Gotta come up with some more power to go play with the 10.5 guys!!!

Figure we gotta run 4.50s to win at local events and gotta run 4.20s to 4.30s for some traveling.

What compression do you run? How much boost do you run? That is amazing how you can spool that turbo. What is the life expectancy of the engine? Is it stock block, crank, head ? Just trying to get an idea of what it takes to make those little engines zing! Simply awesome.

    Thanks!!! :D :D :D

On this motor were running 11.1 with a little under 40psi. When its all said and done this engine will see around 65 to 70 psi!!!

Good engine will last 8 to 10 passes and then we refresh bearings and rings, resurface both block and head and let her buck for another 10 passes.

Yep stock block, head and crank. Crazy aint it???!!!

    Luis,

Which years/cars does this engine come in? Or is it a truck engine? Must be a sturdy little bugger.

Is there an adapter made to mate these engines to an american automatic?

Or, an SFI stick bell from some american engine? If so, what is out there for flywheels and clutches?

    TIA
    Dave

Hi Dave, this engine comes out of the 97 to 2004 Toyota Tacoma pick up trucks.

We sell a kit to adapt the engine to a power glide or a TH400 for $2,500.00 kit includes adapter, flex plate and torque converter.

We also sell a midplate to bolt up a small block chevy bell housing (you can use a lakewood, trick ti, browell) $599.00

We also have SFI approved aluminum flywheels $325.00

Or a twin disc kit that includes flywheel, clutch disc, floaters and pressure plate $1600.00

We offer any and every thing you could want for this engine!!! :D
