Hey everyone, Long time no post!

Since this is the greatest source of knowledgeable minds and content regarding anything FI related on the internet, I thought it only fitting to get all of your opinions and thoughts on a new service/product that we were thinking of offering/producing.

Since we have really changed direction into more of the supercharged car market rather than Turbos (too man china rip off artists to even bother IMO) and since we have been able to achieve awesome results out of our A/W GT500, Cobra & Lighting Intercooler systems, we came up with another application where our super efficient IC cores might offer better performance then what is available currently.

On our under blower A/W IC on our GT500 CJ Hajek Motorsports Bonneville Car we were able to achieve IAT2's of 72-78* (F) at over 1200hp with consistant coolant temps just above 65*(F). Just a little background for you to offer a more objective opinion.

Since I am sure many of you have realized over the years that the Vortech Power Cooler will only, realistically, cool up to 400-450hp efficiently. Everything over that is a nightmare to tune and somewhat unpredictable. So that being said what we were think about do is offering a Re-core service for all those who dropped $2K on a Power Cooler and are now stuck at 450hp. Judging from the many power coolers that we have seen over the years we have concluded that they are all just about the same core with different tank configurations and line routing options. That being the case it would not be all that hard for us to modify our current Stage-3 GT500, Cobra or Lightning A/W IC cores to make them work as a re-core for the Vortech Power Cooler where we would just swap over the tanks and change the line bung location. It would be very similar to what we do on the WRX & Celica WRC All-Trac GTfour top mount A/W IC's. Since not many people that would be using this service or a power cooler in general for over 1000hp I think we would be able to produce a unit that would perform beyond anything the current market offers. It would also allow them to maintain the aesthetics of the Vortech Power Cooler instead of having to fabricate up piping to run a FMIC, which in the case of a system like the one for the 5.0 mustangs, we all know that would be close to impossible without swapping out the compressor cover for the strait outlet rather than the 90* outlet it comes with. It is possible but you would have to run such small piping that you would almost be better off just running the Power Cooler.

*Side Note* We will also try to develop a Heat Exchanger (if we do not have one that will work already) that matches up to each tier of horsepower that average Supercharger owners are running. (i.e. up to 500hp, 700hp & 900hp. Similar to our current offerings for the GT500, Lightning and Cobras)

We would like any feed back that anyone has to offer regarding this concept. In addition to that we would also like to extend the invitation to any Veteran Turbo Forum Member(s) (meaning if you join just for this offer your request to participate will be denied) to participate in the first couple of these re-cores. The service will be provided to you at our cost which will mean that you will be required to sign a NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) before we will be able to proceed.

    Participation Requirements:

-You will have to send us your Power Cooler for as much time as will be needed to design the core. (we will not need to cut the Power Cooler up until the core is ready for the swap)

-You will be required to fill out a NDA

-Dyno numbers are not necessary although we do need IAT Data via a Xcal-3 or equivalent as well as your current timing retard vs. timing retard after the re-recore (if any at all. So far our current GT500, Cobra and Lightning Cores are showing Zero but they are a bit larger than the core that will be replaced in the Power Cooler)

So far that is all that will be required of you, but as we get into the process additional things may be needed. Also keep in mind that this will in no way be a contract and if you want to receive your Power Cooler back before the core swap then that is no problem. Think of this as more of a hook up for helping us out instead of a contractual obligation. There are no fee's or cancellation charges associated with this deal. After all if it were not for many of you we would not have even been able to finish our show car in time for Mustang Week 2008!

Again we ask for any and all feedback relating to this and any other application that you can think of that could benefit from a Velocity Core Swap. Even if there is only 2 people interested in it we will still get you taken care of. We are here for you first, we believe whole heartedly that quality and customer service it the key to a successful business and we will always put the customers needs first.

We would like to thank all of you again for maintain and adding even more of the BEST FI Tech on the Internet Period!

Thank you for you any and all opinions, ideas, needs and overall feedback that you may offer. It is greatly appreciated!
