the 4.6 in my 92 crown victoria may have sang its last song.

if the engine is toast im not against putting in something intresting. the swaping of an engine in isnt what scares me, its the thought of having to do real electrical work that scares me.

what other 4.6's can i swap in ? is it better just to leave it be and put another 4.6 long block ?

Think about any 4.6 can swap in. They were designed to go into various vehicles with minimal changes. Think someone on here has basically a GT spec engine in one.

ive been told that if it ran out of oil then the timing chain snapped, there was piston-to-valve contact and the motor is history.

also, the cam position sensor could be at fault.

what do you guys think ?
