T6 turbo with 4" downpipe mounting location

Been debating on where to mount the turbo(T6) in my engine bay (94 mustang). Originally wanted to mount it on the passenger side forward facing, but with the 4" downpipe and with of the 351w, I dont see it fitting between the head and firewall. Id be willing to tapper down to a 3.5" DP if it would work but after searching I cant even find a build that has a 9.5 deckheight, 3.5DP routed by the firewall without cutting up the firewall. I plan to keep P/S and all other acc. can be relocated if it makes the turbo mounting easier. no A/C. Opposite inlet and outlet on intercooler and elbow plenum so throttle body can be mounted on driver or passenger side. Any other options for this setup?

    thanks in advance.

Ever think on just dumping it right out of the pass. front bumper or fender? Save alot of weight and piping head aches, just get a short stocky muffler

See last coupe of pages of my build thread Y2K 88mm T6 Flange 4" down pipe all on the pass side. I am cutting on the firewal though...

That would be alot easier but this is going to be 99% street car so I'd like to get it to the back of the car and keep sound down.

i have a363 8.2 deck height with a 91 mm mounted facing forward on the passengers side with a 5 inch downpipe. I run it across the top of the valve cover and turned it into the inner fender between the shock tower and the firewall then under the car .

My down pipe runs to the back of the car and dumps where the pass side muffler would be.

This all sounds too familiar...I have a 302 that is getting swapped for a 351. I put the T6 on my 302 and soon realized I had nowhere to run the 4" DP. I thought of every option but I had none. Then I decided to run it like a diesel stack. Some love it, some like it , some hate it. I like it. Out the fender sounds the best of all options u have.

Do you think the firewall shaving could be done and keep the heater box? Not to worried about A/C but I can handle the cold.lol

Below are a few pics of my old set-up in my 95' cobra with a single Gt-4294 turbo (basically a large frame with a t-4 turbine housing) and a 4" aluminum downpipe running out the front bumper.

And here a few more pics of my current set-up with the same turbo only mounted on the pass. side so I could run a larger fluidyne radiator & stock electric fan which cools 10x better, a 120amp alternator, and a 3.5" downpipe running over the pass. side header into a dual 3" exhaust system.

I hope the pic's I posted will give you a few idea's to throw around when building your set-up. The downpipe is fairly tight using a 302 block but I definetely could have squeezed the same set-up under the hood with a 9.2" windsor block.
